Stillsmiths Tasmania work closely with distillers to produce the best outcome for investment. The supply of quality distillation equipment goes beyond our Stillsmiths whisky stills, to designing and manufacturing a full range of distilling equipment. From silos to mash tuns and fermenters, and all the associated support equipment including closed loop cooling, and heat recovery systems.

We also provide an installation service from Stillsmiths Stills to complete full turn key projects.

WHEN PLANNING YOUR DISTILLERY, PLEASE ALLOW A STILL CONSTRUCTION TIME OF 120 DAYS AS A GUIDE.

THE PLACE

It may seem a long way away, but there are many reasons why Tassie is a quickly becoming one of the great distillation regions of the world.

The remoteness helps. Pure air and water are wonderful natural gifts, while the regular rainfall and rich soils provide bountiful ingredients at our doorstep.

It’s one of the reasons why our whisky is continually voted the best in the world. Already known for wine, beer and cider, Tasmania’s reputation in whisky, gin and liqueurs is second to none.

Then there’s the people. We not only seem to have a little more time down here to get things right, we have a long history of being proud craftspeople that has been passed down through generations.

And we don’t mind a good drink.

The People

THE PEOPLE

As a quality whisky still manufacturer, Stillsmiths Tasmania has a dedicated team of craftspeople that simply aim for the best , every time!

Our whisky stills are built with passion to display the endless curves and shapes that allow the still to perform its task - distil the very best whisky.

With a long history in stainless and mechanical fabrication, Kolmark (established in Westbury in 2001), Stillsmiths’ parent company, is recognised as the leading stainless-steel fabricator in Tasmania taking on complex and difficult projects from the food and beverage to the industrial and mining industries.

In 2017 Co-Founders Mark Kolodziej and Tim Freeman, identified the opportunity to establish a new market manufacturing high quality stills for the burgeoning Australian distillery industry in Tasmania.

With clients across Australia and internationally, Stillsmiths’ manufacturing prowess is set to continue.
